What is it about 5? I absolutely love 5 year olds. And now I have one in my house! For Sierra’s birthday this year, she requested a “breakfast on the farm” birthday, so we did our best to accommodate with our own little “Yeh Farm.”
FYI — Hay bails are very cheap the day after Halloween!
Thank you’s were very simple this year; recycled jelly jars filled with homemade play dough. I wanted to fill them with treats, but with all the Halloween candy floating around I figured most moms would appreciate something inedible.
The party began as they all do; with coloring farm pictures and a simple chick craft.
Then breakfast by the chickens… (Sierra requested eggs, bacon, hash browns, and fruit.)
The best part was the “surprise.” We hired a sweet lady from Becky’s Pony Express to bring 2 ponies and a petting zoo. Sierra had no idea!
Daniel was ready to buy a goat. (No, seriously. HELP!)
Each kid had several rides around the cul-de-sac.
Last, but not least: “Pin the tail on the chicken.” Idea by Sierra Yeh. Illustrated by Natalie Yeh. Handwriting by Allison Yeh. A game that required nothing from me — YEH!

Happy birthday sweet girl!
